Villa Alegria is professionally managed and meticulously maintained by our friendly staff. Our unintrusive housekeeper visits daily and your concierge will arrange anything you need for a truly custom vacation experience.

We are able to keep our nightly rates lower because we don’t automatically charge you for services you don’t want or won’t use. At Villa Alegria, concierge and housekeeping is already included and you have the freedom to add any other optional services you want at additional cost. You’re assured a personalized vacation that fits your vacation style.

Concierge & Housekeeping

Once booked, we will connect you with our concierge, Michelle, to plan your stay.  She will greet you at the villa and can assist with anything you need throughout your stay, including boat transfers, car rentals, chef, grocery and wine stocking, excursions, restaurant reservations, tee times, childcare and more.

Our unintrusive housekeeper, Angie, visits daily and will keep everything sparkling clean.

Add optional chef service. Your professional chef can prepare made-to-order breakfast, a picnic lunch to take on a boat, a sunset barbeque on the beach, or 5-course dinner on your terrace. Chef rates range based on individual chef, type of chef (everyday cook vs. fine dining), season, number of meals/days and menu. Guests also cover cost of ingredients.

Special Occasions

Celebrate a birthday, anniversary or other milestone in paradise, or house your wedding guests in style. Our concierge can coordinate most items, connecting you with a local event planner for more elaborate requests.

Travel Arrangements & Excursions

Our concierge can arrange boat and air transfers from St. Maarten, and on-island taxi, car service or car rental. When you’re ready to explore, she can recommend excursions and activities and coordinate the best options and pricing with local vendors for you. Learn about things to do in Anguilla.

Villa Alegria Anguilla Staff

Anguilla is safe and easy to explore on your own and renting a car is recommended. The Waze app works great on island. Our concierge can arrange your choice of car, SUV or jeep for pick up at the airport, ferry terminal, or delivered to you at Villa Alegria. Rates vary by season and are available by day, week or longer. You must be 18 years old with a valid driver’s license from your country of origin and purchase a $23 USD temporary license, which the rental car company will process for you. Children’s car seats can also be rented. Drivers in Anguilla drive on the left hand side of the road, but cars are available with the driver’s seat on either the left or righthand side of the car. Open air electric mokes are a fun option for a day or afternoon.

When the adults want to stay out late or go on an excursion that isn’t kid friendly, our concierge can arrange for a babysitter at the villa. We can also coordinate baby equipment, toys and crib rentals.

Schedule an invigorating workout with a personal trainer in Alegria’s private gym, recenter with a yoga session on the beach, or sweat it out at one of the island’s yoga, pilates or barre studios.

We can stock the kitchen with your favorite food and beverages and replenish as needed during your stay — cost of goods plus a small shopping fee. Nearby grocery store, Best Buy West, has excellent options and common brands. Village Bakery has delicious fresh quiches and pasty. Local gardens Vinty’s Veggies and Rainbox Farms are fun to visit and offer excellent produce, baked goods and fresh juices.

Revive in privacy with a massage, facial or other spa service onsite. Our concierge works with a team of experienced therapists and estheticians on island. She can also book appointments for you at any of the nearby resorts’ full-service spas.

Anguilla is the Culinary Capital of the Caribbean with over 100 bespoke restaurants across its 35 square miles. Your concierge can recommend the best roadside BBQ shacks, beach bars and 5-star seaside dining and make the reservations or request delivery orders for you. Guests are responsible for all restaurant and delivery charges.

There isn’t any public transportation on island, but you can get around Anguilla by taxi, rental car, luxury car service or on-demand driver.

Taxis are best for short trips as fares can be expensive and extra charges for after 6 pm, additional people and baggage can add up. Taxis are required to be registered and the rates are set. Most guests choose to pick up their rental car at the airport or ferry terminal or have our concierge arrange a taxi or luxury car service to Alegria and have their rental delivered to them at the villa the next day.

Even if you rent a car, you may want to hire a personal driver to give you a guided island tour or drive you at night when you are headed out for drinks and music. Our concierge can advise cost and coordinate all the details.

 

We can arrange for a villa butler for a few hours a day, a special evening event, or throughout your stay. Your butler can mix drinks. make light snacks and fetch and carry between the beach, pool and villa.

Sipping a glass of wine while savoring Alegria’s spectacular view, will quickly become a favorite past-time at Villa Alegria. Our friend Nathalie from Grands Vins de France, offers guests a selection of more than 800 products, including wines from all over the world, top brands of Champagne, fine alcohols and unique serving items at her South Hill shop. Our concierge can also send your requests, including asking for recommendations based on your mood or menu, and arrange for same-day delivery to Villa Alegria. Prices vary based on product.

Our initial flight was canceled and our luggage was lost on the way there but Michelle came to the rescue and gave us the name of a store where we could buy swimsuits and other necessities. Angelina, the housekeeper, came every day but Sunday and kept the house neat and clean and put fresh flowers in our bathroom. She even did laundry for us one day. Don’t hesitate to book this home – you won’t regret it!
